Alberto Ramirez, Sr., age 53, of Aurora, and formerly of West Chicago, died suddenly at AMITA Mercy Center in Aurora December 8, 2020. He was born in Winfield, May 28, 1967, the son of Armando and Carmen (Morin) Ramirez.
Alberto worked for Mapei Corporation in West Chicago for many years. He enjoyed spending all his time with family and friends, making people laugh, helping others, restoring cars and being a great husband, father, and grandfather most of all.
Alberto married Lydia Lara on May 28, 1999 in Wheaton.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Rosie Silman.
Survivors include his sons Albert Ramirez Jr. of McAllen, TX, Richard (Angela) Ramirez of Schaumburg, Christian (Roxanne) Ramirez of Aurora, Tony (Amanda) Calderon of Wooddale, Joshua (Martha) Calderon of Aurora, and Micheal Calderon of Aurora; daughters Theresa (Ariel) Ruiz of St. Charles, and Brittany Calderon of Aurora; 15 grandchildren Valerie, Albert III, Abel, Leo, Julius, Gabriel, Adrian, Nicolas, Alex, Isabella, Makayla, Landon, Avani, Lydia, and Addison; his mother Carmen of West Chicago; 4 brothers Armando Ramirez, Rick Ramirez, and Arnold (Louisa) Ramirez, all of West Chicago, and Raul (Liz) Ramirez of St. Charles.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
