Albert Joseph DeFrancesco, age 88, of St. Louis, MO, died at 9:49 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Delmar Gardens South in St. Louis.
He was born April 28, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Octavio “Otto” and Anna (Monaco) DeFrancesco. He married Shirley Dumey. She survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children: Deborah A. Bromeier, Steven J. (Tamara) DeFrancesco and Gary P. (Keri) DeFrancesco; eight grandchildren: Kurtis P. (Erin) Bromeier, Matthew W. (Michelle) Bromeier, Kristina M. (Ashton) McDaniel, Jonathon J. Bromeier, Morgan Elizabeth DeFrancesco, Nicholas Steven DeFrancesco, Alek J. DeFrancesco and Ayrika L. Rottier; four great-grandchildren: Tristen Bromeier, Lane Bromeier, Dominic McDaniel and Brody Bromeier; and a sister, Regina DeFrancesco Tanzillo.
Besides his parents, Albert was preceded in death by four siblings: Clement DeFrancesco, James DeFrancesco, Delores DeFrancesco Mallick and John DeFrancesco.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4556 Telegraph Road, St. Louis, MO, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00. Burial will be held Monday, April 26, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. The procession will meet at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 9:30 a.m.
